My 10 yr old son is having trouble shifting his 2002 Blaster. He says it's harder than it used to be. I rode it and must admit, it's harder to shift than the Banshee and my KX 500. However, I don't normally ride it so I don't know if it has changed. I'm getting ready to tear it apart but would rather not if nothing is wrong. With the side cover off and the spring roller removed, the shift drum is hard to spin. Anybody have any experience with the Blaster tranny? I would think the shift drum would be easy to spin with the roller removed.
SHOCKER
Is he a good rider, does he know ow to use the clutch real good? maybe its time for a new clutch
