At the end of last year I noticed that my fresh water tank always reads empty instead of 1/3, 2/3 and full.

Anyone know how these things work? I wanted to maybe get some sort of heads up to see how I can test each sensor or ??? they are an absolute pain in the (_|_) to get to, so the less I have to mess with them the better....

Thanks.

x2, all my sensors quit registering as well... black always reads full, fresh always reads empty.

I get some wacky readings on my black tank sometimes, I think it is because a little bit of T.P. or something got hung up on the sensors. I installed a flush kit on both my black and grey tanks, since then they read correctly after every trip. I know I will never fill the black tank, the grey will show up in the shower, but I like to keep an eye on my fresh water.

turned out this was a 5 minute fix, I had to go to my local RV store for some other stuff today, so while I was there I talked to the main tech. (we have gotten to be friends in the 5 years I have been buying stuff from them), so anyways, he told me how the sensors worked and such. I looked at all the sensors and wires and noticed one of the wires was broken, I used a jumper wire between the two wires and went inside to press the test button. (The tanks were already full), Low and behold it read full. I then proceeded to empty some water, wait a few minutes and press the test button again, now it read 1/3 full. So that must have been the offending wire. I then properly fixed the broken wire to the tanks and I am back in business.

If any of you guys reading this are from Ramona...All About Fun RV on main street is the place to go, they hook me wp every time I go in.
