As soon as Im able to get my own equipment then I can control costs better, or if its a large group then I make some group adjustments as well.

My intent isnt to make this a money making business but to reach as many duners as possible.

Also Im trying to redevelope the courses so they will be shorter and maybe broken up into sections. That way if Im teaching in the dunes you dont lose the whole day learning CPR. If the group size is big enough I will travel to teach. Not just OC or the Dunes.

You are the one making this all happen for us, and the Safety of our Families.

I'll Donate $50 toward the purchase of the necessary equipment.
You should not have to Rent Equipment on something you so willingly give your time and effort on for our benefit.

Please PM or contact me if you would like to help Donate toward getting 2nd Gear her own CPR Equipment.

Thank You! It would help so much not to have to rent the manikins. I would have a lot more freedom to work with families.

Kids by the way should absolutely take the class. Not that they would need a card but at least know the basics. So many lives are in balance while someone has to go back to a camp just to get help. Knowing what to do may be the difference between life and death.

I can donate pocket masks for participants... I guess I just need a general headcount that you anticipate for your classes and maybe I can ship them your way.... or deliver them to the dunes.

So tell me, what do these manikins cost? We may be able to get some donated to you or get a great discount on them. I personalloy would take the CPR & First Aid clss together. I think it is important to not only know how to do CPR but to also be able to treat or stop a bleed until addequate help can arrive. If a person knows how to do that alone, it can be the difference between life and death.

What do we have to do to sign up? I can host a class at my house in the I.E. (Redlands). If you can get enough people to sign up in one location, it will cut cots down tremendously and we have a large enough houseto host a fairly good size group.

The manikins are pretty pricey... it would be best to rent them from a local CPR training center or ambulance company... I'd be happy to lend mine for free, but logistically it would be hard for you because I'm in San Diego. I'll see if I have any contacts in the Redlands area...

Speaking of First Aid... I have some laminated cards with the basics of CPR and First Aid... 2nd Gear, would you like some of those to go along with the pocket masks?

Here is a link Ive been looking at and I still need to contact the guy from the ASA who hit me up on here. He was going to try to get funding thru the ASA for me teach very large classes.

There are so many different kinds but these look light weight. Usually you arent supposed to have more than two people per manikin but Ive done more in classes.

I have to use the Red Cross material since thats where Im certified. It would be too confusing to use anything from the American Heart Assoc. because they use different numbers of compressions and such.

Im not sure a lot of people come in this section to keep updated Crusty. Maybe we should start a CPR party sign up under General Chat. I have huge rooms here at my apartment building also but parking is an issue.
