Took a nice three day ride up the cherry creek area last week. Cherry creek is on the north east side of Roosevelt lake NE of Phoenix AZ. We camped by the river off hwy 288 to Young AZ. First day we rode the entire Cherry creek trail 100 miles. Second day we went from the cherry creek trail to Salt river canyon 111 miles. The third day we followed a different trail off of Cherry creek trail to the river where the steel structure stuff was 70 miles. If anyone knows what it was used for chime in as we never figured it out. Maybe they were making gravel for something or who knows. It is on a trail 30 miles from nowhere. Also at Medicine ranch there was what looked like a TV antenna on the roof and it was in a valley 40 miles from nowhere, maybe a joke or who knows. Anyone wants to know where the trails are PM me as it was a great ride.

1/4 of a mile before you get to the river (one way bridge) turn left into a park and go to the end and there is a big turnaround. You can camp there as long as you don't block the turnaround. After you go over the bridge Cherry Creek road is about 1/2 mile turn on to a dirt road to the right.

This is something I have been looking for a ride and camp. If you could send me the details I would appreciate it. What were the temps when you did this? Thanks again and will post pics when we do it.
