Anyone game for a little mini trip to the dunes this week or the next sometime? I've got the next 18 days free and I'm jonesing to hit the dunes BIGTIME! I just bought my new Banshee a month ago after a 7 year hiatus from ATV's and Glamis/Buttercup/Gordons...... Im going nuts just thinking about the sand now....

I'm currently shopping for a small toyhauler at the moment, but havent pulled the plug on one just yet.....so I was thinking if we did Buttercup option theres always the motel/hotel option in Yuma.....as its only 13 miles from BC. That means no lugging the monster coolers, dealing with extra ice, yadda yadda, etc.

Any other ideas?

Or you can stay at the "Q". The hotel/casino that is right off of Algodones Rd, 10 miles from Buttercup.

The Q is new school definitely wasn't there 7 years ago.

Roughly how many miles is that from the campsite at Buttercup then? Is it closer to Gordons then I assume?

If you do so just know that the money you spend is going towards fighting to close the dunes.

Do a search in here for 'quechan' for other details about why staying at the Q is a very bad idea if you like off-roading.
