most banks will loan 80% of wholesale book value. It isn't easy, Tier 1 credit is needed most of the time. Same with a take over payments, the loans are not usually assumable and would have to be refinanced.
Try Bank of the West, B of A or Essex credit

my first trailer i financed thru a credit union, not a bad rate for a trailer that was 5yrs old at the time. when that trailer was totalled and i was looking at my current 5er located in vegas, the credit union said 'sorry, we dont finance a vehicle from out of state'. tried a couple other places but they wouldnt finance the amount i needed. they usually use NADA values, but my trailer has ALOT of extras that couldnt be figured into the NADA price. i ended up going thru Essex Credit from suggestions here on the board. they were great and had no issues financing the amount needed. they did everything FED EX overnight and the check was sent to the seller the day i drove out to pick up the trailer. scored an even better rate thru essex than any of the credit unions could come up with. the loan was assumed by Bank of the West after all the paper work was done.

I live in arizona and I bought my hauler used in el cajon, ca. I got financed 100% through USAA. I got a low rate, and a 5 year payment, at $150/month. They just compare it to other models and sizes in that price range, and the nada value. Piece of cake.

I bought mine for $25,000, and my credit union here in Tucson had it approved in 30 mins. Now I've been a member of this credit union for many years, but I ain't the owner. They financed 100% with no problem on a 60 month term.
Now buying a sand rail................................................that's another whole f'in problem. I just might be looking for another financial institution. Can't buy a danged sand rail, unless it's a personal loan at 9.25% interest, and I got over a 750 credit score.
Try a cedit union in your area!!!

Arrowhead credit union in San Berdo has some repos on a lot, looked at an SU they had and walked over to the trailers, prices seem reasonable and a couple trailers looked in great shape. Their website has a link to the repos

I was looking for a used TH at first but then I called my local credit union in September when I bought my toy hauler to see if i could get a better rate than the dealership and they told me they no longer to RV loans due to the economy. This was before I gave them any info so I know it had nothing to do with me personally.
