Young rhino racer

Hi people, I want to get into off-road racing with my rhino, but have no idea where to start. I am thinking of signing up for the Lake Elsinore GP next month to get my feet wet, but that event only comes around once a year. I know there are some regular racing up in the desert near barstow. I really don't know anybody to help me out, so if you guys can point me in the right direction, I would really appreciate it.
Thanks in advance,
Michael G.

The Elsinore GP will be a good chance for you to see all types of race UTVs. From full on race cars, to simple bolt ons. There is also a Lucas Oil Off-Road Series race coming up in Primm, NV on the weekend of the 14th. There are currently 3 UTV classes in the Lucas series.

The first thing I would do is Trade in the rhino for a Treyx. Hey you asked where to start!!!

www.worcsracing.com click on the ATV site. the UTV classes range from stock to motified. each race is $55 dollar entry fee, if of course with any series memberships and transponders required. Elsinore GP is quite expensive though. with worcs you can either rent a transponder or purchase. the transponders next yr will be the same as the ones they use in the mickeythompson stadium series and various others.

Soboba GP is an awesome event also, with minimal safety requirements. Also only once a year though. Im bummed I missed the Lake Elsinore GP this year. But Ill be ready for Sobaba next year!

If I can add anything, know this: racing is expensive. Expect to break stuff, it's the nature of the beast. I've raced MX, Jet Skis, Off-Road, RC Cars, it got to be just too freaking expensive. I'm not trying to discourage you either, it was alot of fun, just costly. Now I just run Glamis for my kicks. Try it out, it will be a blast!
