I have the safety cert. and the quad is an electric Costco job so there are no CC regulations on it but thanks for the heads up. I saved the paper stating the quad is for ages 4 and up since he is turning 4 tomorrow. I can't beleve it but the thing has front and rear suspension and goes up to 10 MPH which I can regulate because that is too fast for him now. I'm trying to get him to turn, stop, slow down, etc. for now.

We'll be there mid day Friday. Won't make the Friday meeting at shell reef, but will look for people while we're out riding. I am driving the Rhino in my Avatar with a checkered flag on the whip. Stop us an say hi if you see us.

WOW. Got home last night from Oco. Camped off Cahuilla, just back from the patio covers. Saw the Yellow Baja...and the blue/silver/black car. NICE CAR. Saw mid afternoon saturday by Gas Dome/ Pole Line. Wife was driving. We were the other guys on BFG relay.

Lots of people out there, and more LEO prescence than I have ever seen. Good too see the Rangers with EZ-ups trying to educate people.

What's the specs on the baja? It looked really nice when it rolled by.

Had a great trip. Wind was crazy last night and weather looked a little ominous this morning so I packed up and came home a little early. Our Fri. 12:00 meeting was a bit of a bust. Ahiparra and I showed up and only saw Dave with the yellow baja. What happened to the rest of you? Anyway great weekend.

I tried brother...just couldn't pull it off with all the family in town and all the things I had to do to get ready.

2 dead batteries and a trailer flat is what happened to me. I was at shell reef around 2:30pm but no buggies sight. Sorry to all. We just got home. Weather turned perfect around 11:30 this morning after some rain showers and we did the Blu-Inn up through gas domes to pumpkin patch down to devil's slide trip. Very nice. Bummed to have missed everyone by only a few hours. Next time the trip gremlins will have to wait.

It was great meeting you two in person (and the others with you) You and Ahiparra55 both have done a really nice job with your cars, and I can tell are very meticulous with there care. Even nicer in person, glad I got the chance to see both of them also. I was just looking at the tread on Ahipara with his his car for sale, that should be an easy sale.

Thank you. Mostly built by my son and I in the driveway and garage. My son was driving a white ranger that was probably somewhere near me. He just started building it a few months ago.

The baja was $600 from a junk yard a few years ago. Its time to re-paint it soon. After I painted it, we changed the rear to a mid/long travel so the back cage is unpainted right now. I got a v6 acura, so I'm waiting to paint after I see what needs to change with the acura. Right now, just a 1835 with a 091 bus and I'm using drive axles. Coil overs on all four corners and waiting to buy triple-bypass for the rear. Spent the money on the intercom/race radio instead. (Love that choice)

weekend from hell for me...too many things went wrong, before i even got to the desert. anyways, i did see you in san felipe wash though, friday i think. noway in hell i was going to try and catch up to you! windy as all get out friday afternoon and night, but it stopped on saturday afternoon. perfect weather rest of weekend. it rained twice, for about 2 minutes each time. enough to make your trailer and toys look like hell with the dust and water on them! wife.gif i heard it did pour in borrego though...

Sounds like the axles have a "Life span". Sounds like if one breaks you replace them both and keep the old one as a backup.

We got there Friday around 3:00. Weather was great when we arrived. Camped by ourselves about a mile west of the Blue Inn on the North side of 78. Wind started after sundown. Got real bad about 9:30 Friday night, so bad that I looked out the window and it was like fog outside, it was soo dusty. Wind calmed down a bit Saturday morning with a few rain drops, but was tolerable all day. Saturday night was great with a slight breeze. Sunday was nice, little warmer and breezy. We left around 2:45 on Sunday. Nice weekend with the wife and girls.

Going back for 4 days at New Years and camping around the same area with a group of 4 to 6 rigs this time.

Yes the wind was crazy! My toyhauler was turned to catch all the wind, it was blow'n so hard that I thought the stabilizer jacks weren't down. The rain wasnt too bad, just not enough to kill the dust. I was over at blow sand that night and I think my face got sandblasted when it came though my window.
