(i'm not sure if this thread belongs here, but whatever)
hey, i'm new to this forum, and i've been going to glamis for like, 16 years (since i was like, 2 weeks old) and i remembered what it was like back then......

there was competition hill, with the VW engine cases burning bright, the lights going up and down the hill.

and when admission was like, basically free compared to now...

and the lip before the dragstrip...

but what i remembered the most, was the feeling of perfect sand right after a sandstorm. how it's like glass, and the dunes aren't all screwed up with tracks.

but there's this other place, beyond olds, way into the heart of Glamis, there is that patch of riding where nobody thinks of going. where the sand is as soft as flour (or anything else that's super-soft). and the razor backs are actually razor backs, and not roll-overs. last time i was there, there were no tracks at all (this isn't at one of the closed off areas mind you). not a single track but yours, and your friends. the riding is so intense there, and fun. if you don't slide on a turn, you're going off the edge of the dune.

i miss glamis the way it used to be.......::tear::(just kidding, lol)

post if you feel the same way, or to just say anything.....

that sounds like the way to China Wall...thats my favorite ride.

From Gecko out to China...then loop around to the hill

I could make that ride everyday!

Bad dunin is still better than no dunin at all! I'd rather have a bad trip to G than a great day at work! icon_wink.gif

Slappy
Big razors, no tracks, and technical dunin; now that sounds like a great date icon_wink.gif . Slap knows that there are secret spots out on MOther G that always have ripples and are free of tracks. "Hey, there's a great spot right over there by the sunflower, just a few yards from the Buckwheat, you can't miss it blink.gif .

FD, you got that right; Bad duning is better than no duning.
It may work you out a bit, but heck, Slap is gettin a little chunky in the midsection anyways and needs a good workout. Sure am tired of workin out the wrist so much..."HEY, Slap's talkin about wrenchin on the McSlappmachine...SHEESH...Some folks got dirty minds."

um...uh...nothin better than some 927 and an FMF silencer...um...uh...Slappy gone
