I just bought a new Stellar 34' 5th wheel : )
im towing it with my 04 F-250 CC short bed with 4" lift on 35's
i have a Reese 16k with slider
when hooked up, the trailer is just a little high in the front. I just installed my trailer levels, they say its 2" high in the front.
I searched on here for a while, I can lower my hitch one hole witch is about 1 1/4" however my bed to trailer clearance is already about 8" in the front and 7" toward the back so im not sure if thats a great idea.
my question is, should i worry about 2"? I know the axles can be flipped etc etc... but is that gonna make it too high? I only have 3 adustment holes on the hitch, im in the middle now, so its 1 1/4" up or 1 1/4" down if i flip the axles... i see most ppl that flip the axles are running about a 6" lift or more...
so should i;
1) run it
2) lower the hitch one hole (1 1/4") (also lowers the bed to trailer clearance)
3) Flip the axles, adjust the hitch and hope it levels it out.
4) don't flip the axles, but look into an alternate lift of some sort for the trailer.
im heading to glamis tommorow afternoon! camping on gecko. If you see a Black and Orange harley edition with a single Black 6" stack in the bed towing a 34' stellar, thats me!
