Yes they are! It's only been 3 hrs. since we brought her home and she is already snuggling with my kids.

Beautiful Pup!!!! Looking at the parent pics, makes me realize my little 2 1/2 year old that only weighs 120 has some growing to do still!!

My last rottie, Sadie, was 135 lbs. of pure love. The vet estimated that Shatze will weigh in at about 115-120 lbs.

That's a good size. Nikki seems to be tall and slender still. She is bulking up a little, but I think we still have a bit to go. The vet and a breeder told us that she would be around 120 or 125. She's there!

Good looking dog. That's exactly how Sadie was...tall and slender. At about 2 1/2 years old, she was 110ish. By 4 years old, she was a solid 135 lbs.

Thanks for the compliments! It's been awhile since my last pup, so I forgot how hard crate training is. It's killing me...I feel horrible when she cries in her crate.

So, we have two names picked for her, "Meika" (Mee-ka), or "Mitzi".

She looks like a Mitzi way more than a Meika.

That's what the wifey and I were thinking, but the kids like Meike. I left the decision up to my wife, so she will either be the "hero" or the "goat" with our little ones.

I just showed the kids that we have two more votes for Mitzi. My oldest said that you peeps are pulling my chain.

Oh God, tell me about it!

I SWORE that my rottie Jazmin was going to be crate trained. After 10 minutes of howling in the crate in the living room (that felt like 10 yrs, ) I moved her to the downstairs bathroom and shut all of the doors. Her howling then got even louder, and sounded like I was cranking 20,000 volts through a baby!!!

I was horrified and could only take about 15 minutes of that! I was afraid my neighbors were going to call the cops! I moved her crate into my bedroom, right at the foot of the bed. She was happy with that, and fell sound asleep. I noticed her breathing sounded exactly like mine when I start to doze off.

It was easy to get her to get in her crate, she liked it from the beginning. After a couple of months, she started farting so bad, I woke up thinking that someone was burningtires in teh bedroom!!!

I moved her crate back to the living room, and everything has been fine since. Except she still farts a lot, and thinks she's a lapdog.

Last night I sat next to the crate until she fell asleep (about 20 min). She slept all night with no issues. Hopefully, we are on the road to happy sleepful night.

Is the spiked choker a must for her? It is with mine. A regular choker doesn't even phase her. Once her attention locks in on something it's hell to snap her out of it.

my buddys rotty is a little over a year old and it is the sweetest, most well behaved dog I have ever met.
