My batter sort of sucked though. It browned too fast. From a review i read it might be from too high of sugar content. I used 1/4 cup. Also was my first time deep frying. I used canola oil. But used vegetable oil in the recipe do all oils cook well together? Had a hard time keeping a consistent oil temp. Was shooting for 370-375

cut the top of a jalapno, scrape out the guts, fill with any cooked meat toothpic the top back on, and cover in the batter and do the deepfry gig
