I have a new to me Funco 2 seat Hustler with the subie, sold my 4 seat S&S LSI car last season. This thing is unbelivable in the dunes, way quicker and sharper turning than the old rail. Only thing I can not get rid of is the back wheel hop in any kind of whoop or bump. Really jumps up and even puts the car a little sideways if you are moving fast. I have only made it worse with my adjustments. What is the stock settings (as set at Funco) for the triple bypass shocks and how much air should I run in the bags?
Thanks Mike

If your avatar is your car then it looks like too much air in the bags. Car should have more sag. A-arms in the front should have a small downhill slope from the frame to the wheel.
I'm running 42-48 front and rear Gen 5 4 seat. Welcome to Funco.

That is the car. The pic was from the previous owner and I think he thought that looked cool. I have the arms level. Thanks

I have the same car as you, there are not that many of us. I run 33.5 in the back and 31.5 up front. 2 psi will completely change the car. Have the nitrogen checked in the rears, mine did what yours was doing before mine were serviced. air pressure is critical so get a good gauge, these cars are light. At 33.5 in the back I will bottom out when running hard or jumping bigger than I was expecting, I am using all of the travel and that what it is there for. The airbags have bumpers in them to soften the bottom out. I didn't mess with the bypass adjustments, I tuned the airpressure to those adjustments and suspension tuners that have tried my car agree I am real close. I can give you the settings of mine if you want as far as how much thread is showing if that will help.

Can you pm me. I was wondering about the sale price of your car as to the approx worth of my own. thanks

Checked the nitrogen today. 50 PSI rear and 90 PSI front. WOW!! We set them all at 150, I think that will make a huge diff in the bounce. Thanks for the bypass settings, should get me close.

Are you that guy that used to have a Funco? I think I remember running with you a few times. Was that your tank and regulator? DuneDoc has his name painted on it, told me he had just bought the whole setup from some ex duner! Hope to see you in the dunes again soon.

If you used a standard air gauge, low nitrogen may have not been the problem. You would have let 1/2 the gas out when checking. It takes a special gauge that lets no gas escape. But now you are gonna fill properly, so the point is moot, but may have not been the issue. Bag pressure is important as already pointed out.

We did use the special gauge. I am sure many people that do not know about that get a low reading trying to use a tire gauge. Thanks

Also, be sure to jack your car up so that the shock is fully extended (full droop) before checking or adding nitrogen
