Beau is a medium-to-large (60 lbs?) neutered male mix. Chow and Rottie? Shepherd? Not sure, but his temperament is lovely. Long-haired, black with tan snout and markings, he is a gorgeous boy who ought to be named “Bear.” He has sweet, appealing eyes, and is a devoted, loving fellow, who wants nothing more than to sit at your feet wherever you are or whatever you are doing. He is truly a ”Velcro dog.” ….Unless you are holding something big or noisy (a hose, a vacuum, a stick), or pointing something at him – a cell phone, a remote, etc.). At first, he fought getting into a car, but has learned that we take him only good places, and willingly jumps in now. I also assume that he was left alone for long periods of time, because when we first got him, he showed some separation anxiety – crying and panicking when we left. Once, he chewed up some drywall in an attempt to get to where we had left. He seems fine now – generally knows we will be back in a reasonable amount of time. He is not a chewer, and is completely house-broken. He has a tendency to be a bit of a counter surfer. He walks nicely on a leash and knows and responds to basic commands.
