Naw......I like naturally aspirated. I lose bigger to big N/A guys than turbo or SC guys because they are doing wheelies while I'm accelerating....

Hmmmm... First off, let me help you with a few facts. Tim does not have a stock 360" LS2. He has a 427" motor. Second point. More nitrous does not always equal "quicker" car. Big shots of nitrous tend to make Sand Cars more prone to wheelies. And here's a free tip for ya... If you wheelie in a race, you lose!. It's just that simple. But you go right ahead and build that 10K 415" motor and throw all the giggle gas on it you want. Just let me know when you call Tim out for a race... Because I want to be there.

paul you need to call me asap. jeremy has a stroked ls2 all set up for the bottle. it includes everything, computer, fuel system, already tuned by A.D.S. This was the original motor we had Redline build for his sidewinder. I remember the price was 26000.00. This motor only has 1 season on it, MAYBE 7 or 8 trips!!! I'm reasonably sure he wants 15000.00. call me @ 602-312-9491 ( I wouldn't steer you wrong , your 510 is everything i said it would be and so is this, I probably even still have the build sheet for this motor.)

Why not just get a new LS7 with forged pistons, bigger cam, etc. from CBM for just a few bucks more?

Tim you might be right but I figure you and Timmy for 3 or 4 carna burritos.

The engine I am building will have way more power for under 10g's 418 stroker with CNC ported heads and 92mm TB and all the goodies. Last one my builder just built had 643 hp.

If you can build that for under 10gs then thats a no brainer. I was referring to the 25k motor. And FWIW 643 isn't that much more than the motor I'm talking about.

Ron, I think he's referring to crank HP and not wheel HP. That being the assumption.......an LS7 would be a better choice. If the choice was between a juiced out LS2 and a brand new LS7.....

Way bigger difference between the LS2 and the LS3 than the LS3 and LS7. With the Heads I have they flow as much or more than LS7. Create LS3 with cam 480 HP. Create LS7 505HP. Thats stock out of the box. No out of the box LS2 is getting close to 480HP.
