The rear dual bunks went out this weekend. They went down but wouldn't go back up. To get all my bikes back in this weekend I had to remove the nuts that hold it on and throw it on the top bunk. I was able to lift the top bunk by hand and put the pins in to hold it up. Does anyone know if there is a manual way to get them up? I'm going to get these fixed under warranty, but would like to know for future reference.

we had the same problem on our first trip with our trailer, did the same thing lift and put on top of other bed. I called the company/factory and that was their advices as well. don't think there was another option.

I have the Happy Jack dual system. I recently had this problem and ended up finding a bad ground on the frame rail. They said their circuit boards rarely go bad as do their motors.
If you can't figure it out - in a pinch you can pull the cover and brake off the back of the motor and use a cordless drill to raise them. You can put the brake back on or use vise-grips to hold it on the way home (you can hold it with your fingers - very light).
