My youngest tearing it up, woo hoo!

Amber rode until we had to make her get off and it really made me feel good just sitting and watching her all day. When I was a kid we were poor and I always dreamed of having a mini bike so I totally lived her enthusiasm, a feeling of self fulfillment hard to describe. thumb.gif

My oldest prefers our Razr 170 but it was out of commission waiting for parts.

I stitched five medium format photos together for this panorama, the final version was over 22K pixels wide!

Right after taking this picture I gave the wife and daughter the safety talk.

Some friends that camped with us. The weather was a little challenging this weekend with high winds and a little rain but we circled the vehicles, built up the fire and made the best of it. Good times.

My wife on the right, she doesn't really like getting dirty but came out to enjoy the family time.

Good pics. I love OW...and it's an hour closer to my house than Glamis.

Man, I really can't believe how empty it was. What day did you take those pics of Pole Line Rd???

Saw your car and thought it looked familiar.

There were twice as many on Friday when we pulled in, but the wind was fierce and a lot left early.

Alex,

You need to let it go man. I was in Glamis from Thursday to Saturday and didn't have one problem. Sure... some people are having issues but what's new?

Sorry dude... just had to chime in because every post you have made lately is basically... "Eff Glamis...it's a chithole with nothing but bad people!"

Trust me... I've had way worse experiences than ANY of you with the LEO's out there and... I still come back.

You're probably right, I've really made some great friendships over the years and love dune riding big time. Sorry I'm coming off so negative, probably just due to my own problems mainly. I'll be back, couldn't possibly stay away. beer.gif

Trust me... I know what you mean. You're always welcome to camp with us bro. Can't let the man keep you away from what you love.

Just my opinion but Ocotillo Wells is not for quads. My wife has a quad and I very occasionally take it for a spin. Way too many whoops and rocks that would drive be batty on a quad. It's definitely better suited for dirt bikes.

The only "dune" is at Blow Sand which you can see right off 78. You'd get bored there is about a minute and a half.

There is only one bigger sandy hill (blow sand) and one other spot that has a bit of sand (devils slide) like glamis, the rest is more like dg, and dirt. There are a LOT of hills to play on. Some are as big as the dunes in glamis. You can find them on both sides of the highway, on the south side east of split mountin is a fun place. If you only like sand, you would get bored real fast, but if you like to ride and arent afraid to have to hang on....... I have also have a dirt bike and a couple of quads and have never been bored. Its just different than the dunes. Dont bring you paddles, they wont last.

If you bring a 4X4, just across the freeway, and a few miles directly south of Ocotillo is Sandstone Canyon. It's like riding at the bottom of a super mini grand canyon...Rocks touching overhead as you pass through..Really cool if you have never been.
