Alright guys, most of you know the story with Revenge Racing and all of the fun times that was for my family. I haven’t given up and I have been sitting on what I got out of the deal and saving my chips patiently to get this thing done so I can go have some fun and forget about all the B.S. My goal was to have it rolling by the New Years and possibly done for a few trips before the season is done if all goes well. I’m not going to hit my New Years deadline, but I should be close. Ryan at SDHQ is hooking me up with parts at their cost so that will help tremendously. If any of you guys have a lead or know where I can get some deals or good used parts let me know. I check the buggy parts thread everyday and have let some good deals slip because I wasn’t ready, but I should be ready to start buying parts here at the end of January. Anything would be appreciated. Here is a short list of what I am looking for to get it at least rolling.
Shocks: Ordered!
2-Fox/King 2.0 coils 12”
2-Fox/King 2.0 coils 14”
2-Fox/King 2.5 triple bypasses 12”
2-Fox/King 2.5 triple bypasses 16”
Steering:
Gear One power rack # G1-3010
Sweet Servo & clamp from Gear One- G1-3020
Plumbing and fittings
Steering wheel w/ quick disconnect hub
Hubs:
Rear: Gear One Midboards: 6 piston/934’s #G1-2625
Front: Sandzilla/Clay donated G1 front combo hubs, just need calipers and weld on mounts
This should get it up on its own legs and I can go from there. Planning on a LS power plant and a 2D unless I can wait it out a little longer for a refurbished Fortin or an S4. The motor and tranny will be the last thing to buy. I will post pictures of the progress as it happens. Like I said I won’t be able to purchase until end of January, but wanted to start getting some leads if at all possible. Thanks to all that have helped out and happy holidays!

I have a bunch of leftover AN fittings for brake lines, fuel lines etc. also some braided line etc. Some mandrel bent tubing that could be used for radiator lines as well... Dont know where your at with plumbing but post up a list of what you need, and I'll see if I have anything.

Most of the car is plumbed in hard line already. I just need some braided line for the a arms and the trailing arms, I just bought all of the AN fittings for the brakes a few months ago. I do need some for my fuel tank, I just dont know what sizes I need quite yet. Maybe some other Silencer owners can chime in help with those details? The radiator lines would be awesome. I'll see if I can come up with more details, kinda hard to mock the lines without the radiator and motor. Thanks!!

In fact, I’m disassembling my 4 seater and building a 2 seater Silencer that I picked up last year. I’m still racing them and having a blast. We took 2nd place overall in the VORRA series (In a 4 seat Silencer).

Burt,
Do you want me to work up some prices on the Gear One stuff?
If so, I need to know if you want a steering bearing carrier, or is one already welded into your car? If you want it, do you want standard or tilt?
Do you want a GO steering wheel?
Look at the GO web site and pick a wheel and let me know if you want a kit or just the disconnect?
Do you want 2 or 4 piston callipers?
Can you run the R&P that has the built in servo or do you have to run the remote servo?
I will help you out however I can.....

Right on Scott,
Bearing caririer is welded in already so I'm good there. Probably will get a MOMO or Grant set up vs. the GO wheel, but we'll see. I do need the 1 1/2 BILLET SUPER STEERING KIT- # G1-3050 minus the carrier. 4 piston on the front and a weld in braket for a combo snout. The car is tabbed for the remote servo so I'll stick with that. I also need the rear brakes, 6 piston midboard with the vented discs (#G1-2625V ). I think that is the list for Gear one. Take your time. I'll be ready to start burning up the debit card late January. Thanks!

Sounds like a good deal..... Do the mid boards bolt up the same as the Gear One set up? 6 piston w/ vented discs? Warranty sounds cool. How much minus the axles? Like I said earlier I'll wait untill the end on the axles so that I can get accurate measurements. Appreciate it!

Ya with work and my 16 month old son it's been hectic, but good. Things are starting to move and hopefully I will be making a trip to San Diego before the summer is up to one, get out of the AZ heat and two, most importantly, get the final wire job done in time for Halloween! I'll post pics as things happen.
