Heading out to Ogilby Monday morning with the fam for a few days- first trip for us in two years. I've always had my 4x4 and a toyhauler in the past, but this year we're Class C moho'ing it, with a 16' flatbed. I'm a little worried about the curve on Ogilby road. Anyone been there recently that can give me a heads-up on the road condition?

Also, my moho is light on water and holding tank quantities compared to my toyhaulers in the past. Is there an RV dump and fresh water available anywhere nearby without having to run all the way back to Yuma? Doesn't Sidewinder have a dump? How about fresh?

Thanks for the info.

Oops- I just saw the post about Ogilby Road. Anyone with more recent info? I may opt for the flats along the powerlines and just ride in and out...

Over Thanksgiving it was bad. It was soft, and with everyone wheel hopping through there some whoops started to form. My Grandpa stayed an extra couple weeks, and he was using a drag that someone had left out there to drag it on occasion. When he left he drug it and then pulled out, and said it seemed to be OK.

The Shell at Sidewinder does have both fresh water and a dump station.

I was there at the same time Morgan! yeah it was bad... we pulled off to the right before the curve and camped... bit of a ride out but we did not want to deal with gettin stuck. Saw many a rig stuck during that time! If you pulled off to the right before the powerpole you could avoid the mess altogether.

Ditto. Pulled many people out. I made it through going in but ended up taking a trail just south of the road on the way out so I wouldn't chance it. It's only bad right near the tower.

I'm thinking the camping areas should be a little more hard packed now after that huge rain storm we had last week. Rained a lot here in Phoenix and I think the same storm went through Yuma, didn't it?

Didn't really get much here in Yuma proper. Not sure how much the dunes got, but figured it wasn't much since we had so little.
