Thank you for posting the differences. This helps clear up some of the questions floating around out there.

You don't have a fortin or Albins R&P around for comparison do you? That would be nice. I love my S4
Legit Duner
Am I seeing this correctly?
The 4e/2d have the same size Ring gear than the s4s?
Is the pinion gear different size and can it be made to work on a 2d?

Yes it is the same 10" ring
The difference is in the shaft ,they are not interchangeable.
MD4E has a shorter shaft from pinion to end of shaft
MD4S-2D is longer than the "E" model by 1/2"
S4 has the same pinion head, but larger O.D. shaft, and longer with parallel splines.

I don't have any for comparison.
If any one has some pic's please feel free to post them.
I wanted to just show our parts, due to not having any other brands around.
The S4D ring and pinion is the same as the Albins in comparison.
This is because Albins makes this for us.
Albins also make all our gears, except for the LQ.
Weddle imports Albins gear products, and we co-venture with Weddle to supply, and house the gears for us
