Yeah, and throw the blower cars together and let them duke it out.

And I was thinking about a better way to "start" the races. What about having a Rhino or something similar lead the cars and drop the go flag or whatever.

Have the Rhino rolling in the middle, with a car on each side lined up right behind it and to the side. Do a 5 MPH roll and have a Rhino passenger see that they are lined up "together." Then he will drop his hands and the Rhino will stop. The two cars that are racing will them go by the Rhino and it will be out of harms way... Thoughts?

Hi Zilla, thats exactly what we talked about. A sxs should lead at 20-30mph to the cone, and its hammertime. Anyone who passes the sxs looses.

The hell with a Rhino use my buggy it should top out about 20!!!

Good question. I told one of my blower engine customers about this and he's in. He's not a board member, but that's OK... He's got a little 3.3L Whipple motor and he's itching to race some other blower cars... So all you blower guys out there that have yet to make an appearance, quit racing your Dyno sheets and come get a piece of this guy... He only makes 560 RWHP so don't be afraid to jump on him. And if you need someone to point this guy out for ya, just let me know... I'll be around all weekend.

Watch every time I raced towards the end I would launch kinda of scary at 110 mph...

I think it makes it a little more interesting with the first roller but we probably should shorten the track to delete that second one, it has my whole car leaving the ground at 103 or 104 and you don't land exactly straight either after the second one.

How long is it now? 1/4 mile?

the test runs were right at 1/4 mile then we shortend it up a couple of hundred feet , at least thats the way i remember it . . in the video that no socks posted it is pretty close to the original 1/4 mile . tim

A 1/4 is to long for a Sand Car drag race (IMHO) They are not geared for that. What's a typical gear ratio in a Albin or Fortin tranny? 4.50:1 or better? That's pretty low for a 1/4 mile car.

Oh, btw, I'm trying to get another blower car for the race. And if he can't go, I might just show up with it myself.

Damn! I missed the first one because of a haunting electrical problem, and now I'm going to have to r/r the motor and trans for the main shaft bearing in my mende. wth!!

If everyone went to the dyno, Booshy wins. Other than that it is whose car gets the power to the ground and pedal to the metal.
