Nice pics.
I wanted to pass some info on, maybe you already know this, or maybe you don't. I see there are 2/3 offset front wheels on the 450 in the pcitures. This changes the Kingpin offset. That is bad for handling. It makes the steering much twitchier, and gives stronger and more feedback to the handlebars. I understand you probably want to widen the track width, but a-arms are the right way to do it without hurting the handling. It should have stock offset wheels on it. And this goes for all the other ATV out there too. Not pickin on you, just thought it would be good education for some people. icon_biggrin.gif
SHOCKER
Its just like adding extenders on the front, its also harder on the tierods, but the way to go is wider a-arms, by the way i like those graphics

it just creates more leverage and stress on the front end. But just cuz you add spacers or offset wheels doesnt mean its gonna fall apart. For the average person I dont think the slight change in handling is worth $500+ for arms. Why spend more money than you have to? Im not saying be a cheap ass but Im just saying in some cases spacers are a little more practical than arms. Okay well thats my input.

Point taken. However, if you're riding through a lot of your favorite Glamis terrain, heavy chop from many tires/traffic, you'll get a lot more feedback. Which translates into tired arms and riders. My 2 cents.

Nice Mike. Does Beckley know you are renting out his bike....... icon_wink.gif icon_wink.gif Who is that riding it? What were you guys testing this time?

Papa Perry

PS, I need to ride it Easter, think I can trade some TriTip? I'll have to send Beckley an email...

I agree icon_smile.gif
This is not a great way to widen a quad. We had to make adjustments to the shocks to compensate for the wider stance.

It is much more 'twitchy' with lots of feedback to the handle bars.

It will be done right with new wider a-arms and shocks soon.

Cool. I liked the low-midrange I got from the FatBoy4 on my EX. Can't wait to see what it does at G, where I am more familiar with the terrain.

Pictures, what Pictures...... icon_wink.gif

BTW, did Bill get you the CD, or send you my pics?

I get back on Sunday about 5:30pm. Then the Jet Lag sets in. We'll be out at G Friday night 4/9 to 4/13. Unless it is really hot. Then we come home early according to Julie.
