Heres some shots of the aftermath of the roll. Quick story, was ripping through some old farm lands at night (been abandoned for 30 years) at night, know the area pretty well but was on a trail that had changed. 3 rhinos, one right next to me crusing along, last i looked speedo was around 47 and my foot was still in it. Hit 3 whoops and saw the 4th, by then it was to late and had to hang on, i knew we were history... The bump we hit was big and rutted out, so the suspension didnt really get the brunt of it, the rear skid plate did. Was vertical for about 30ft before the front skid grabbed the dirt and sent it end over end 4 times.

Landed on all fours, turned the lights off and killed the motor. I walked away without a single scratch, passenger had a small cut on his chin from holding his head in his coat, was wearing a carrhart (zippers are like razors.) I give full credit to fullface helmets and wrist restraints we had on. 25cheers.gif

No alcohol involved although the coolers are smashed and a mess it was ice/water from the ride earlier that day.

Only real damage was the driver side upper arm and outer CV. The factory welds tore off from the tubing to the cast piece where the shock mounts and ball joint attaches, that twisted the wheel under the frame and seemed to pull the CV apart and busted both seat latches and one base. And the steering wheel was bent on the left at about a 90 degree icon_biggrin.gif Other than that it was back running the next morning in a few hours. Rounded up my spare parts and away it drove. No frame damage at all. All cosmetic really.

Cage is .095 Mild Steel, rear bumper was .065.

Moral of this, be careful! I have thousands of miles behind the wheel of this and others and have not even come to rolling one EVER. Sh!t happens, so be prepared! Helmets Helmets Helmets, im sure i wouldnt of walked away scratch-less with out one.

Mine had minor scuffing on the top. You can see in the picture of the inside roof where my head rubbed it, due to the fact that the seat base exploded and i was rattling around in the 5-points.

Mine was stock... Passenger was the first gen metal bases tim came out with, but the latch housing on that one still busted and he was loose, just not as bad as i was.

When i re-do this cage ill go with the new SDR bases and billet latch housings.

Yup.. I'm trying to stay committed to wearing my helmet in my sand car each and every ride (passengers too). After seeing a thread on this site, where a dude rolled his car and had like over a dozen staples in the back of his head to repair a serous gash, I was convinced.

Have fun. Be prepared. Be safe.

I'm positive I'll wreck, just a matter of when.
