Full Version: How Much Would You Be Willing To Pay For An 08 "salvage Title" Rzr?

Just trying to play some different scenario's through my head... The RZR that we owned for less than a week was rolled multiple times and so we have placed an insurance claim on it... I was wondering what it would be worth if the insurance deams it a "Salvage Title" and offers to sell it to me... Would it be worth buying back? The Dealership I have taken it to told me that they think for sure the insurance company is going to salvage it.... I know I would end up getting another one so this one might be worth parting out or keeping for parts if the price is right....

Some of the things I know for sure that would need replaced: Roll Cage, Plastics, tires and one of the rear CV's....

So in your opinion what would it be worth for me to pay if they offer it back to me?

depends a lot on if the frame is bent or not!...

let me know the salvage price, I might take it. I have all those parts, and more.

How many hours on machine? I know you said you owned it a week before damage but did you buy it used? If brand new when crashed and frame is not bent I'd give 3k without batting an eye. Roll bar, plastics and tires aren't much damage and would recommend that roll bar be changed out from stock anyway. Stock ones are junk. Hard to believe they would total with just that damage.

Ya I really don't know if they will "Total" it or not... To be honest I really hope not... But was just curious what it would be worth for me to buy it back if the insurance company gave me the option... I don't think the main frame on the bottom is bent... But it is definitely bent on the right side where the roll bar goes through the plastic hood. I don't think it would be that big of a deal to fix. From what I understand Insurance companies once they learn that a part of the frame has been damaged it's almost always an automatic total just for future liability reasons.... I could be wrong... And like I said I actually really hope it's not a Total loss... I am taking it to a Side x Side shop to have them evaluate it and give the estimate to the insurance.... Figured I should take it to someone who specializes in Side x Sides over the dealer so nothing gets overlooked and so that if it can be fixed it will be in proper working order....

Also I did buy this used with about 300 miles on it... I put over 200 on it the week I had it.... As it sits it has just a few miles over 500....
