As much as I hate Reed, he did not take stewart out on purpose, you can clearly see how hard he was on the brakes, it was a racing incident period!!
What pisses me off is watching Chad "crybaby" Reed shove stewart in the head for NO reason.
From a safety standpoint, guess it was a good thing Stewart didn't have a neck or back injury that a shove in the back of the helmet would not have helped.

You really have to laugh at Stewart with the wincing after the 2nd heat crash. At 17 yrs old I didn't winch that bad an hour before they were pulling body parts from me. (appendicitis) The whole Chad Reed thing to me sucks. I've stood up for him over the years because he was always an under dog guy I hoped would twist the throttle long enough to get some legit wins and shut the haters up. Having to read post after post from guys absolutely ecstatic because Kevin Windham got another one of his occasional thirds while Reed would put the bike on the box EVERY weekend and getting nothing but crapped on for it sucked too. I watched the race in HD on a 100" screen and recorded it, and if you're Chad Reed (one of smartest racers around) and you don't want to get in a crash with the original squirrel James Stewart, you don't run it in on him going in to a corner you know James is gonna square off, especially when you could have passed the ailing Stewart two laps before that turn. Chad did it on purpose because he got a crappy start too and figured he would just wad him AND Stewart so #2 could just race Dungey. As far as the helmet shove goes, it definitely was un-sportsman like, but I've seen way worse watching the NFL and those guys just blow it off and move on to the next play. For the rest of the season, Bubba showed last year that he can get it together and lay down the wins, and he showed the same at A1, but for the most part he has only had to race Reed, and I think Dungey is faster than Reed is or ever was.
My .02$
And BTW, Stewart got a warning too because he went to Reed's pit and pushed his bike off the stand while Reed was getting his hand looked at, not sportsman like either.

I've watched the the Reed/Stewart cash several times now (slow Mo) and Reeds fall is strange because he looks to have maintained his balance and is pulling past Stewart then he falls back and off.
From the angle that was broadcast on tv you can't clearly see what happened, but you can see that Stewart's right arm raises up toward Reed as he is falling.....could he have grabbed Reed pulling him back and off the bike?
Anyone else see this?

So for the record you fully support and wish good things for a crybaby poor sport who by the way did receive a warning from the AMA. Check.
For the record? Yes I do.

To be honest, I get alot of pleasure knowing Reed broke his hand and will not be earning a SX championship this year. My wife and I actually cheered. I feel so dirty now.

Did you watch the replay? If anything Stewart took them both out. Just like he took himself and Partridge out over the triple. What a rookie move, scrubbing a triple in the middle of a pack of riders.. WTF? And then he goes and knocks Rees bike off the stand? Stewart is the tool IMO

I meant an injury when the two of them crashed not in the previous crash, I doubt he would have been riding with an injury also, and I didn't mean the slap as you put it would hurt a guy with a helmet on but if he had an injury in the crash that just happened it would not have helped. Hope that cleared it up.

I have a lot of respect for your opinion, but after Chad's punk move at Vegas, I have no respect for him. James is a punk too, but Reed was looking to park Stewart in that Corner, why else would he have squared it off and came across the way he did! The only reason he hit the brakes was to try and use Stewart as a berm.. Crappy moves by both of them!! The both need to loose points and money!! (Oh wait, does Reed have any points?)

Reed checked up on the brakes long before he even realized that Stewart went from the outside line to the inside line. Reed could have easily parked him in that corner by not hitting the brakes and going all the way up into the berm. Instead he hit the brakes, and Stewart ran into him and took them both out. I know a lot about Stewart from his days at Kawi, and theres a reason why Kawi did not want to resign him. I'll leave it at that.

Good for Stewart. You always have good insight on the MX circuit, and like others I respect your opinion. Are you really failing to see the way Reed acts? The crash between the two is not an "at fault" crash, the way Reed pushed Sterwart is a direct reflection of the kind of person Chad Reed is. Do you think Chad Reed comes into that corner that hot if some scrub is in front of him? I personally think he was pissed because a banged up Stewart was putting it to him.
For what it is worth, Chad Reed won the Outdoor championship fair and square. It comes down to the most consistent rider for the length of the season, and that was Reed.
what about Vegas last year? Reed tries to put Stewart in the stands on a long sweeping turn when he gave Reed the all clear to pass? He is a punk. I hope he goes back to Austrailia and stays there.

I agree with you, Reed tends to ride dirty when he's behind. I honestly think something was wrong with Reed also, because I don't think any rider would pass up the chance to make up points on Stewart. He could have easily made up 15-20 points if he would have got on the podium last weekend. No matter what though, I don't like hearing about any riders getting hurt, and people like blacksoda are not true fans IMO. I'm not a fan of Stewarts and his antics, but I would never wish anybody to get hurt like that. It's been a weird season already for sure!
A little birdy told me that Reed might try and race saturday night if he can. I'll be at A2 this weekend, hopefully it's not to much of a mess with the rain.. It looks like a sweet track!

Although I am far from a Chad Reed fan, he does bring competition to the race, and I like a good race. Anaheim 1 was one of the best races I have seen in person. I look forward to this weekend also. I'll be there, can't wait!
A2 is going to make last years Daytona Race look like a dry and dusty track. It's going to be a MUDDER Focker for sure. Put you $ on the guy who's feet can actuly touch the ground while sitting comfortably on the seat, Not going to be much in the way of tripples or even doubles they will be rolling everything and just staying upright is going to be the challenge.
Even with it covered? Hmm..You mean the race where Reed burnt his clutch up on the last turn? LOL! Classic!
A2 is going to be fine.. There may be some muddy sections but the track has been built and covered since sunday. They also have a lot of dirt with drying agent in it that they use for the muddy spots. It'll be a little muddy, but I think overall it'll be fine for racing.
That's what I heard too....I read somewhere that the crew was back in Anaheim before the gate dropped in Phoenix doe to the upcoming rain.

I went to the race last night and the track was epic.. It was some of the best conditions I've ever seen at Anaheim. Great race and good job Dungey! He's the real deal for sure.

Race was good...FREEZING COLD THOUGH....Much smaller croud than A1.
This race confirmed that Stewart needs to be healthy and on his A game to even challenge Dungey. Dungey is riding smooth, almost mistake free right now. Fun to watch!!

Just got home from the race.. It rained a little bit off and on but the track conditions were pretty good considering. Not really a "mudder" at all, but the track was pretty wet.
