This recipe comes from a Caribbean cookbook given to me. These tomatoes are so delicious. facelick.gif

4 large tomatoes
Salt
1/2 cup softened butter
Worcestershire sauce (to taste)
2 tsp. grated onion (I use minced onion from the spice aisle)
1 tsp. dry mustard
1/2 tsp. Tabasco sauce
2 Tblsp chopped fresh parsley or 1 Tbslp dried parsley

Cut tomatoes in half and place cut side up in shallow baking dish.
Sprinkle lightly with salt. In a small bowl, whisk remaining ingredients together.
Spoon over each tomato. Place under broiler for about 6 to 8 minutes.

We've made them many times over the years. I decided to post the recipe, because people were curious when I mentioned we were having deviled tomatoes with dinner.
They are of course hot out of the oven. They are incredibly juicy and somewhat softened from the broiling. They are savory and have a somewhat tangy flavor, yet the meat of the tomato also is somewhat sweet.

That looks tasty - I love tomatoes.... Probably go good with the BBQ'ed onion recipe?
