I've driven a stock rhino around a bit at dumont and an rzr a little in glamis in the dunes off around pad 5, but i'm wondering what its like in a custom built moto powered sxs? would like to get a ride in one if at all possible, but any input would be appreciated.

They are lots of fun.. no comparsion to even a built rhino motor. my old motor was a built to the max730. my stock r1 motor rips through the dunes even with dirt tires. I bet it wouldbe insane w/ paddles. you would not be disapointed

are you going to be in glamis for pres day? if so, would you mind taking me for a ride in it?

BansheeBoy - it's like the difference between riding a stock 400ex in the dunes with stock tires, and a Banshee with pipes and paddles.....NIGHT and DAY. And a LOT of fun! smile.gif

Off the topic of the ride, can anyone help me with some info on the R1 swap out? I've seen a couple postings on here on it but they were over the top builds. I just wanted some info on the transmissions with reverse. I looked at RPM and Jeff CO. What are you using? Thanks.

The way they did the rear on the black one is pretty cool.

Here is our "SV1" motorswap kit - this one was developed for duners - the SV1000 motor will fit between the seats in the stock Rhino motor location - super nice fit and really fun!! Drive system is direct chain....not gearboxes to mess with.

i just finished my R1 powered RZR and had it at G last weekend. they are very fast and you have to keep the R's up like a banshee. a good tunned suspension is necessary to keep the power on the ground and you from killing yourself.

i was very suprised at how fast the motor builds power and takes off. i had a hard time letting the motor rev out before shifting due to me never driving a street bike and i sm not used to hearing a motor scream at 10k rpm.

i did not miss reverse as much as i thought i was going to and you just have to think before you park.

my motor is very loud and i had to wear earplugs, i forgot once and my ears were hurting after a ride.
