Got back last night from a great trip at Ocotillo. I was suprised how quite it was out there for a three day weekend. I was wondering if anyone knows anything about all the emergency vehicle activity off the 22 and holly Road?

Was it still dusty out there this past weekend? What was the weather like? I will be going out there on 1/22/2010. Hope all this rain keeps the dust down for a day or two out there.

Is that near Bradshaw Trail?

We were out there this past weekend for a huge LAFD fundraiser. They had 300+ riders on a "scavenger hunt" ride and easily 2-3 times that camped at th event. Very well behaved crowd. Guy with us that camped in the washes of Glamis over New Years was stunned how "mellow" it was here at OW. I was actually shocked how uncrowded the place was overall for a holiday weekend.

I've done that ride 3 or 4 times but missed it this year...I was bummed because it's always so fun...and of course it's a great cause.

last weekend was fun except for Sat nights wind..not that I felt it from where i was sleeping...
