I heard that if you cut it in half and make it 3" longer that it will handle night and day better. Then you have room to install an air filter from a Peterbuilt semi truck so you dont blow the motor. Then if you cut it down the middle and make it 2" wider you can run Harley Davidson belts that wont break. Last but not least.....if you cut it in half sideways and make it 2" taller you can run a Busa motor and make it fast. At that point though you will lose the 4wd and you'll also have to get better arms, reinforce the frame and better shocks and axles and CV's or they will break. The only thing you'll have to do at that point is throw away the cage you just shortened and have a new one built that will hold when you crash it.
Other than all that.....you'll be good to go. Might need bigger paddels too

Looks much better! The beginning pictures had me a little leary but the final pics it turned out nice.
I too would like to know why Polaris designed the cage to look so stupid. Obviously its not for looks so must be a safety issue and my only guess is so it rolls over or at least on its side and takes all the pressure off the passenger/driver area.
or
they had a lot of extra tubing lying around and decided to use it up.
