Please:

CORVA has worked hard for many years attempting to re-establish a historic trail from Anza to Anza Borrego Desert State Park. CORVA enlisted the help of Senator Bill Marrow of Oceanside to author legislation to make this happen.

The Senator needs our help to make this happen. April 13, 2004 is the hearing date for this legislation in Sacramento. The Senator needs letters of support. It takes just five minutes to cut and past the letter below, and just 39 cents to send it.
Don't forget to put a date on the letter and your return address.

Please help CORVA and Senator Morrow make this happen.

Thanks

Re: Support for SB 1338

Dear Senator Morrow:

I fully support SB 1338, which would reestablish the historic Coyote Canyon Road in Anza-Borrego Desert State Park. Coyote Canyon Road is a small portion of the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historical Trail. The Juan Bautista de Anza National Historical trail begins in Horcasitas, Sonora, Mexico and stretches over 1200 miles to San Francisco. The U.S. Congress recognized the historical significance of the trail and brought it into the National Trail System in 1990.

The vast majority of the Juan Bautista de Anza National Historical Trail is on non-Federal lands. SB 1338 would add to California’s role in promoting and protecting this historical trail. The bill would:

Provide visitors and trail users the opportunity to see and appreciate the Coyote Canyon portion of the Juan Bautista de Anza National historical Trail.

Provide access to all people without regard to disabilities.

Promote the management of the entire trail as one integrated system.

Sincerely,
