I have a leak in one of my hydraulic lines for my leveling jacks. I believe they are power gear. I want to change the line myself. Does anybody know if I can just disconnect the damaged one, put the new one in, and add fluid. Or do I have to bleed any lines or anything weird to change it out?
Thanks.

Put a new one and add fluid good to go. I rebuilt mine and added fluid no problems.

So no need to bleed any lines then? Also if I have the slide in the out position to make it easier to work on then will this pressurize the system, or can I still just disconnect and replace?

Your lines for you slide should be on a different pump ( double check). Just replace your line and lower your jacks all the way down a few times, this will bleed the air out. Fill tank after you do this....

I had to replace a seal on the tank to one of these pumps that controls the slides. Removing the tank ment all the fluid came out. When O put it back on I just filled it up and cycled the slide a few times and it was fine.

What causes them to leak, I have heard of a lot of these leaking. Is there any preventative measures to take to keep from leaking or is it just an age thing?

Thanks guys! I guess that might be easier than trying to find the actual replacement part #. I already pulled the line off so I just need to have the new one made tomorrow.
Brandon....mine was rubbing on a heat shield that goes between the headers and the jack.
