Alright, here it is. Heat up some canola oil to 360 degrees and drop them in for about 12 min, They will start to float when they are done (if you want them more crispy just leave them in a little longer). You can use Frank's Red Hot sauce, If you want it hotter use more sauce to butter ratio, if you want them milder use more butter to sauce ratio. bring the butter and sauce to a boil and turn down heat to let simmer and when the wings are done from the fryer, drop them in the sauce and coat them for a min. Then put them in your oven at 450 degrees for 5 min to bake in the flavor, this process in the oven also makes them a little less spicy so if you want them spicier then serve them with some fresh sauce after the oven. Best you'll ever have. Also Costco has some really good Teriyaki sauce that you can heat up and they are really mild and delicious. Enjoy

Wife made these and they kicked arse....

Outback Steakhouse's Kookaburra Wings 2

10 chicken wing drummettes
48 oz shortening
For wing coating :
2 Tbs all-purpose flour
1 Tbs Kraft Macaroni & Cheese cheddar cheese topping
1 ¼ tsp salt
1 tsp chili powder
¾ tsp freshly-ground black pepper
½ tsp cayenne pepper
¼ tsp paprika
¼ tsp onion powder
¼ tsp garlic powder
1/8 tsp ground cumin
1 dash ground clove
For sauce :
2 Tbs Crystal Louisiana hot sauce
1 tsp water
For on the side :
bleu cheese dressing
celery sticks

1 Preheat 48 ounces of shortening (1 large can), or 6 to 10 cups of vegetable oil (use the amount required by your fryer), to 350°F
2 Make the spiced breading for your wings by combining the wing coating ingredients (flour through clove) in a medium bowl. Stir well. Dip each wing, one at a time into the breading. Give each one a light coating of the stuff. Arrange the breaded wings on a plate and let them sit uncovered in the refrigerator for about 15 minutes.
3 When the oil is hot, lower the wings into it. Fry for 7 to 10 minutes, or until the wings are brown.
4 While the wings are frying, mix the hot sauce and water together in a small bowl. When the wings are done, drain them for a moment on paper towels or a rack. Drop the hot wings into a large plastic container with a lid. Pour the sauce over the wings. Cover the container and shake it to coat the wings with sauce.
5 Use tongs to remove the wings from the container. Arrange them on a plate with bleu cheese dressing and celery sticks on the side.

Sunday morning, put them in a deep pan or what ever you want to use. Get some chile achote paste, orange juice, white vinegar, salt and pepper mix it in a blender and let them marinate. Then just fry them, you can add what ever sauce you want afterward.

The oven is the key to makin em just that much better. beer.gif take the extra 5 min to bake them and you won't regret it.

It's been a while since we made buffalo wings, but here's my post from when we did make them. They turned out so good facelick.gif

I don't think we'll use peanut oil next time though, because it's a pain to store.

I boil my wings (drumsticks) till they are half done, then add spices and habanero sauce, let them sit for a couple hours, then I bake/bbq them,

sorry not a fan of deep fried wings
TACO

Now best way?? Esco's way.

I cook mine at 350 for 45 mins, then broil em to get em crispy for a couple mins. Then I mop some melted butter and Franks Red Hot. The recipe is on the Franks Red Hot bottle. Mmmmmmm
