i have a 05 f350 4x4 torqueshift trans the other day i was backing up, trans shutturd like going in and out of gear, now i have hole in top of case, guess i need a new trans now ! only 50k mi, any trans people on here ! need help. thanks Emil

You might just be able to get it welded?

Might be your best bet with that..if it broke the case, the rest of it is probably trash as well. You could go big and call John Woods in Holtville and see what he has to say.

im pretty sure the hole in the case came from something internal rubbing or getting bound up in the rotating assembly.......so just welding it wont neccesaily fix his troubles
