Not sure who was more excited.....me because this buggy was so Bad Azz or the owner over the new round roof SCU!!

I got to ride in one. It was the first LT I ever rode in. I was sold instantly. That car is what got me wanting a LT too. Very smooth ride & just all around fun. Had a blast! At the time, I had a standard travel VW buggy. The SCU had a 2.5 turbo Subi. I remember thinking. WOW... What a ride & how smooth & comfortable it was.. & the power & sound of the Subi was great! Much quieter than the VW & a ton more power.
I would love to build one of these. Would be very cool & nostalgic.

The detail on this car sure is amazing. Are those chrome CV cups? Even a polished Billet plate behind the laser cutting. Nice touch!

Here's a pic of my 99 Subi powered SCU LT before I sold it, I have better detailed pic's but can't find em. Some guy that use to dune at buttercup bought it, I woder if its still around? I do believe that the one in the first pic is a 03 or 04 but I could be wrong. I was so ready for a new buggy when I saw the newer SCU's at that time, And they just keep getting better and better. Thumbup: to SCU for building bad (_|_) cars from the start.

Here's ours. We bought it about a year ago and have been loving it. It is quite the step up from my swing axle / beam days.

WOW, I fell in love with this buggy when I saw it too, and I just bought it last month. It handles like a dream, and looks good too. We just came back from a 5 dayer in G, and I love it even more every time I go for a ride. it's an 03, by the way

First LT I got a ride in was in an SCU just like that but it had the twin turbo option and flat out hauled. Being a quad rider at the time I was amazed when we rolled through a witch eye and I didn’t needing stitches and the car soaked it up like it was nothing.
