I just got a 2002 Safari 37' pusher with the 330hp Cat engne. I want to two my f-250 CC SB 2wd to the dunes behind it, with my bike in the bed. I'm going to be doing it on a tow dolley. Do I tow with the rear wheels down, and disconnect the driveshaft, or tow with the front wheels down and leave everything hooked up? First time doing it. The f-250 is slightly lifted on 35's. I dont know the tow capacity of the Safari because we bought it used and I still need to research it. I know the guy that I bought it from towed a stacker wih a Jeep, Rhino, and like 2 quads in it.
Any ideas or suggestions?
Used to have a CR3905, this is going to be the first trip in the moho...can't wait. Will be much better for the kids while we travel.

Since its 2wd towing with the front down would be best imo......other wise u will want to remove the driveshaft from the rear....

Yeah, being 2wd is the problem. I am looking for tow bars, but as far as I can figure, the truck weighs about 5200 pounds according to the manual. Most tow bars are rated at 5k. Thats why I was thinking of renting a dolly.....
I dont have a problem d/c'ing the drive shaft, because since Im gonna probably have a bike in the back of the truck, Id rather tow with the rear wheels on the ground. Also wont have to worry about leaving the key on to prevent the steering lock from locking.
If I get a tow-bar, Im going to d/c the driveshaft anyway. Obviously the towbar is sounding like the better route.
Is this even gonna be possible?

4 wheels down, heavy duty tow bar, Remco drive shaft coupler.

I am going to do this with my 4wd, same truck. I have bought the 10k towbar and brake kit so far. My moho came setup for the airbrake system that Camping World sells, from the previous owner (thanks to them!). I bought the kit, sonce I didnt have the rest of it. The only thing I have left is the base plate for my truck, to attach the towbar. I plan on D'Cing the rear driveshaft, and see how it works. I have heard bad stories about the Remco disconnect, so I am leary of them, but have not ruled it out yet.
Just as an FYI, I weighed my truck a couple years ago. Mine is an '02 Lariat 4wd CC SB diesel and a 6" lift on 37's. With a full tank of gas and a Superglide 5er hitch in the bed (no people in the truck) it was 7520 lbs.

Did you ever do this? I am fianlly getting ready to.
I did the Remco drive shaft coupler on a 2wd Chevy, worked great with a heavy duty tow bar from Camping World.
