It is in a 2008 WW 5th wheel. When I flip the switch at the panel it does nothing. The indication light doesn't come on, no sound at the heater, nothing. Are there any fuses/relays I don't know of? Any help is appreciated.

There is a heat resistor under the panel where the heater is on the left side of the trailer. It has a clear tube over it. They go bad, mine did. Just replace it and should work.

I forgot to mention I replaced it with a new one and still nothing. My buddy had the resistor go bad and had a spare for me.

When my resistor went out the light still came on. Could it be the switch itself?

I opened the panel and unplugged the two wires from the switch, then touched them together. Still no light or anything. I think that is how to test the switch

Is this correct? Other than that I looked at the breakers in the galley, and the fuse box by the converter, and the fuses up front by the generator. I don't see any marked water heater, and all seem fine. Is there an inline fuse I am missing for the water heater?

Stop looking for fuses and check if you even have power at the unit then check power to the switch. May not be a fuse, could be a connection.
Try hardwiring it to eliminate the coach wiring circuit. Thats the easy way to tell where the issue is.
Do you have a volt meter?

I have a volt meter, but did not when I was at the trailer. It is at Dunes Edge. I will try that. Thanks!

Mine had the same issue and ended up being the Circuit Board. This was the replacement board I needed and the cheapest I could find. Just make sure that you cut the jumper on it before you install it, you will get directions on how to do it with the board........ if the board is your problem.

Did the board end up working?
Mine won't light. If I stick a lighter next to the pilot light and have someone initiate the ignition sequence from inside the trailer (2006 WW LE3505) I can light it manually but it won't due it on its own.
A friend told me that he was at the dunes when a similar problem happened to someone in their camp. A service tech came out and grounded two points somewhere on or around the board (he couldn't see) with alligator clips and then it fired right up. Anyone hear anything like that?

I got tired of changing that stupid resistor and just plugged it straight in, been working for three years now
06 WW LE3305
the resistor is made to trip at a set temperature, well my water heater flame is way hotter than that and it blew every time. I went thru probably 10 of them during one weekend, then ran out and plugged it in with out and never looked back.

Thanks Dune-T. Appreciate the response!
I'll give that a shot. I'm not sure if that's the problem. Seems like I tried a direct connect and it didn't work but I can't remember for sure (was last dune season).
I'll try the direct connect and post the findings.

by the way my resitor was on the brown wire and had connectors on both ends covered in clear shrink tube plastic

Just a follow-up to close the loop re: my issue. My hot water heater ignition issue ended up being the circuit board. I tried everything else and nothing worked so I ended up ordering the board from the original manufacturer (Vs Atwood). Paid $110 shipped. Plugged it in and it fired up the first time and runs like it is brand new. Perfect.
