This is the most simple hot wing recipe I've seen in years.
A pot of oil, I use Safeway brand oil, $9.99 a gallon. My turkey pot needs 2 gallons to cook wings
I use Fry's (Kroger) brand wings, 4 lb. bag
Hot pepper sauce (I use Arizona Gunslinger)
Butter, real butter, if ya can't use real butter, stop right here, you're done. fake crap don't work near as good
Deep fry wings in 350-375* oil for 13-14 min. (I like mine crispy, less if you don't)
I put 1 bag of seasoned wings in at a time, until done
Melt butter in a pot and add hot sauce, keep an eye on it and don't let it boil. Want hot, add alot of sauce, and a little if ya don't want it hot
Toss wings in butter sauce, eat'em up
Hurry and cook more bags, your friends will dig'em, better than Hooter's, Wing Stop, and most places I've been to.
We do these every dune trip!!!!!

I use Arizona Gunslinger (azgunslinger.com) I buy it by the quart ($16) and over $40(?) order is free shipping. I don't add any tangy, vinegar, sour, or anything. It really doesn't need it. Try my recipe and if it's not to your liking, can't shoot ya for trying it. It really is good, just those 2 ingredients. But if ya go to azgunslinger.com, you'll find what's called Intensi-Fire. It's a packet of crushed peppers, and other spices. Add that bad boy to the butter and gunslinger. It doesn't make it too hot, it just makes another flavor, still ranks very high with all the folks that hang out with us. I'd get shot if I changed my wings!!!

I saw this post and just had to try it, I used Franks red hot sauce, and it was damn tasty.
The only problem was I used a seasoning on the wings before deep-frying and it was a little too salty.
My store doesn’t carry pre seasoned wings, I just bought some good old farmer John party wings.
What seasoning would you suggest using before the deep- fry?

I usually only brine my chicken wings before deep frying them. Brine in a slat water overnight, that's it for me. My wife will, sometimes, put a spice from the Mexican markets called Pico de Gallo. It's a red powder, I'm a southern boy ain't got a clue what's in it, but it's good.

Arizona Gunslinger (red) hot sauce is the only one that I use these days. I like Franks too. No vinegar, and no other ingredients, that's what's so simple about it. Now, AZGunslinger does make another ingredient to add to your butter mixture, called Intens-i-Fire, I think that's how to spell it. It's on their website. That's gives it a deeper flavor, and just a bit hotter.

I love where you say, "If ya can't use real butter, stop right here, your done"

I inherited a few recipes from my grandparents, that call for stuff like real butter, lard, or you boil meat and use the broth (especially the fat you can skim off) later. I've had people start picking it apart, eeeew but look at all the fat that boiled off into the water. Well WTH do you think makes this so gawd damn tasty????

I appreciate that you may be on a diet, but if you want any of this, then you just gonna need to have a smaller portion, cuz I will NOT be substituting anything for the fatty part of the recipe. I would rather have a little of something darn tasty then a lot of something else. Fix yourself a salad or something!
And I think I oughta be an exception to trusting a skinny cook. I may piss a lot of people off but I got a metabolism set on high that I inherited from my grandpappy who died a skinny old man. And guess where a lot of the inherited recipes came from? My grandparents on that side knew how to cook!

Chipotle Habanero Pepper Sauce

The smokey flavor of the chipotle pepper is the "in" pepper taste for 2003. When the chipotle pepper is combined with the habañero pepper, you get a truly superior flavor! Arizona Gunslinger® Chipotle Habañero Pepper Sauce is a moderately hot, universal sauce that can be used for everything from a condiment to a salad dressing.

DONE, I'll excuse you from being a skinny cook, can't talk for everyone else, but I'll trust you (&Tony).
Danno, keep looking, the quarts and gallons are on there.
ESCO, that hot sauce is good, but it won't taste the same as my hot wing sauce, just a bit different. Look for the Intensi-fire to add to the sauce, it is not too hot, but adds some really good flavor, in my book.
Y'all make sure to find the biggest wings you can find, mine are from Fry's (Kroger brand) and cook them at least 12 minutes. I cook mine for almost 14 mins. sometime.

doesn't want to use Veg.oil or Butter when cooking , other than olive oil. I have been cooking everything on the BBQ, I mean everything, you name it I BBQ it, I buy my wings raw unseasoned, I have tried several different "Rubs" and have found that most are too salty, the one's I like are "McCormiks's Bayou Cajun" and "Cajun's Choice" coat with olive oil then cover them with one of the seasonings, throw them on the

We just went simple.
Lightly coated some raw wings with flour and a little seasoning, then dropped them into a little fryer with peanut oil. Then tossed them with the sauce. We use more Franks than butter in our ratio. They turned out nice and crispy.

If they were too salty from the brine, what kinda salt did you use? and how much? I use sea salt and I make the brine in cold water. I use just enough salt to saturate the water, meaning there is a very little salt in the bottom of my "mixing" bowl. I don't make it with hot water because ya gotta cool it down, blah blah, etc. I've only seen 1 other person make it too salty
