To any Glamis peeps out there looking for a great job job with a grocery company, Smart and Final is looking to hire I believe three or four drivers, I can answer pretty much any question you might have, for directions to, or info about the hiring process you can call our main office operator at 1-323-869-7500. Our main office is located in the city of Commerce, Ca. just off the 5 frwy in the Citadel. Top pay is $24.55 per hour, and we have a three tier pay scale based on hours worked, so from that I think entry level is $21-$22.? We have a company pension, 401 K, paid vacation time, 5 paid sick days a year, and 3 paid floating holidays besides the normal holidays that we either get off, or if you work on a holiday (ex. 4th of July) you would get paid 8 hours for the holiday plus your hours worked would be at time and a half. All of our runs are bid on by seniority, we have a resident driver in Az., but our Az. stores are serviced by him, and Az. directs out of Commerce, and our Rancho Cucamonga warehouse.

Or is it local runs out of Commerce?

Most new hires would go to the Rancho Cucamonga warehouse til the next bid (which should be in Aug.), but I have also seen them use a new hire in Commerce for a short time, "business warrants". And again because we bid on our runs there's no guarantee that they would go to one or the other, its all based on seniority.
