I know you've done'em, but here goes anyway.

Ground beef
Breakfast sausage
Rudy's BBQ sause (yes, sause, it's on the jar) from rudys.com
You can use any other seasonings, but I've got mine to this simple recipe. It's easy to do in the desert, or pre-mix and season the meat.
Mix meat and sause
Make thin patties, always 2 about the same size
On 1 patty, put whatever you like, I use New Mexico green chilis and Jalapeno Jack cheese. You want bacon, put it in there. Sliced green and black olives, pepperoni, mushrooms, whatever makes your socks roll up and down.
SEAL THE EDGES GOOD, let me say that one more time.....SEAL THE EDGES REAL GOOD.
Chuck'em on the grill and cook'em up. Have a griddle, skillet, or the like, for buns. Put mayo on the buns and throw them on the griddle, pan, until they get golden brown.
Make them great burgers and pig out.

If you're throwing up at the mayo cooked on the bun trick, It's done in many eatery's that way, you just might not know it, until now.

Yes, mayo on the bun, then on the griddle until they're brown. Try mayo, butter and parmasean cheese mixed together and spread on it, then griddle.
