im starting to understand jetting a lot more from daddogs help =D..im not understanding where to buy the main jets or pilot jets nor needle.....

does this kit come with everything i need https://www.fmfracing.com/products/catalog....7&ItemID=011740 or is their a better one??? how do i find the main/pilot jet i need?

The carb is the worst thing i think, if i were to rebuild an engine i could do everything(with a little help and advice) except the carb, i know what the main jet and pilot needle are, but i dont want to deal with them or any of those small carb parts that i would probably lose

Just go to your local yamaha dealer. Tell them you want an NCVQ needle. Then tell them the main, and pilot sizes you want. You do not need to buy a "kit' to get jets. They are a stock part, and most dealers have boxes full of them. I would recommend getting a 45 pilot, the ncvq needle, and 165, 168, 170, 172, and 175 main jets. The main jets are around $3 each IIRC. The piot is like $5, and the needle is $12. So, for around $40 with tax, you have your own jet kit.

yeah if you can stay away from the jett kits they are a big waste of money. dont go with any pacific jetting spec. when someone posts on a website (say FMF or Toomey) that is a general jetting spec. ask people that the same or similar setup you do then go from there. the general jettin specs are to get you in the ballpark range.

i believe they do. i could be wrong but check that when you go to get it.

jet kits suck....just go to a dealer and buy the jets you need its alot cheaper
