The guy 60 ft behind me at 60+ MPH said my rear end flew 10ft in the air and we got tossed 50ft heading sideways. After we shook it off we tied up the front, dropped the air on the opposite air bag (you can only do this in a Funco) and 3-legged it out from deep in the dunes.

At 1 PM we rolled up to Pad 4. Grant and Greg were just shaking their heads. But, not wanting my entire weekend blown, Grant got on the phone with Greg’s son who grabbed the Shock Box on his way out of town. Greg immediately got to work breaking down the shock while I went to Sweet Marie’s to have the A-Arm welded. I think this Shock Shaft is supposed to be straight, no?

By 7pm that night, what seemed to be a complete disaster for my weekend turned into a total repair and I was running that night.
I’ve had several rails but this is my first Funco. First, I’m damn glad I was in a Funco for that hit. The car is absolutely amazing. Second, the absolute family attitude from Geri to Grant, Greg and the entire crew was outstanding!
Thank you again Funco!
