Ok to much speed channel watching .
So the add for royal purple trans fluid , sound like a great idea for my 94 bounder with chevy power train . Question how do you get all the old fluid out including what is in the TQ converter ?
I have 42K on this rig and I tow trailer so I'm sure the hills I have to travel to get to Glamis are not good on trans .
Any body running this in their Chevy trans , did you add another cooler ? If so where did you add cooler and did you keep the original also
Thanks Larry
The easy was is to have a shop do "a fluid exchange" They hook up a pressurized fluid exchanger to your vehicle and it also flushes both the trans and converter.
If you want to do it yourself I've attached a method to flush an Allison trans(the technique is the same for your trans).
I haven't heard/seen anyone running royal purple trans fluid. I've seen Amsoil and GM spec'd Synthetic fluids(under different brands). The synthetic have a longer service life and keep the temps down a tad.
Make sure the trans cooler fins are clean and free from debris(a lot of people forget this).
I'd also add a deep pan and internal filter, (if not already equipped)
Good luck
