member #6 here....
iam thinking maybe GD.com should open up epo to members. you pay and get a id #, and the races could still be secret and limited to only drivers and workers ....might be a nice little revenue for the board.

I wonder, if you create a sand racing association, will it be considered an organized event and need insurance or be subject to fees for using the sand?

Isn't there allready a Sand Drag Org. ???? I know one member here was running the series. Now if you were a member of that Org. would you be allowed to test and tune ????I mean the NHRA Guys, Supercross Guys Lucas Oil Guy's would be able to... There are way to many people runnig this stuff that cannot afford to switch back to running pump. There has to be a way around this.

from what i have been told, the stuff thats at service stations, like 76, or shell are already approved by cali to be street legal. The gentlemen I got this info from swears by it, but i thought I remember reading a sticker that said it couldnt be used in street applications...
right now, I know we are stuck signing for drums, sounds like the tanks are free till they have to refill

how illegal would it be for some enterprising person to fill a 5000 gallon tanker in phx. and drive it to glamis and sell it?

From what I understand as long as your practicing for a sanctioned event you can run it whenever. So if we got a GD.com sanctioned race event once a year you could say your practicing for it every time you go out. I don't know who sanctions events but this may be a way around it.
Here is the whole thing its only 2 pages. Plus you can call these guys and ask questions there phone number and email is at the bottom.
