Who has a hook up on 22.5 tires. Our coach travels from San Diego to the Dez and that is about it. I am looking for the cheapest tire possible. I had a thread going here last year, but it has been removed.
Any tire hook ups?????

Get good tires or you will regret it, hard to balance and be smooth when they are cheap and out of round. I have some chinese junk on mine now. Buy some Goodyear or Michelins and be happy.

I've had pretty good luck with the tire pricing at Costco. The only problem is some of the locations won't mount 22.5's. They've got good name brand tires they can order and are available in a day or two at the most.

Its a drive for you. But I got some (not sure on the brand, what ever comes on a Monaco) @ Tucker tire in Covina a few years ago....... I bought 2 for the front with balancing bags. They also set it up with a guy to install them at my shop for around $950.

I second Tucker Tire in Covina. Just replaced six tires on my WW 3505LE and they beat all of the other places I checked. Costco could not even order the tires that I got from Tucker. Worth a phone call 626/332-1142.

I just put 6 Dayton's on my rig a few months back at Parkhouse in Santa Ana. The total was just under $1800.
Dayton's Radial Metro All Position
Dayton Radial MetroDayton is division of Bridgestone/Firestone, Inc. This is not a cheap China tire.
They are good tires. I went with the 14 ply instead of the 16 that I had and they are noticeably softer. I will max the air pressure on my next trip out to see how they handle. I'm only running 90-100 lbs so I will put them at 110lbs to see if they firm up a bit.
I looked all around and Parkhouse was the best without driving to the IE to save a few bucks.

I really need 4, but money is tight...realistically I might be able to pull off two if the price is very attractive.

JustFuelin,
My coach came with 235/80R22.5's all the way around. It now has 255/70R22.5's on the front. It runs 7.5 inch wheels. I have researched it and found I can run the 255 all the way around if desired. You need to be sure you don't over tire due to dual spacing.
I would be interested in a number of combos depending on price. Add me to your count for 6 tires.
Here is what I would consider unless a tire professional tells me I could go bigger and it was a better price.
235/80R22.5 all around
235/80R22.5 rear x4, 255/70R22.5 front x2
255/70R22.5's all the way around.
I am still looking for good deals and will pass along any info I find.
I PM'ed Head Injury and he said to check with Pete's Tire and Road Service in Corona. I will check with then unless you have a contact with Pete's. I will get prices and also check on a group buy once we have a better # of tires needed....

I am in the decision process right now of converting from 19.5's to 22.5's
If we do it, I will need 7 of the 235/80-22.5's

The latest update is that everyone seems to be about the same price depending on size. There is no way to get a solid estimate unless you have the exact size you want to run. There are many options that may fit any specific coach. JF found that he and I both could run a Yokohama in the 240 size that seems to be a good compromise. Wayne Miller Tire in Santee had the best price. He quoted us just shy of $1800 mounted and balanced.
I have one more hook up with Parkhouse that I am looking into and will pass the info on once I know something. I have yet to do anything because my season is over and I am not using my coach right now, so I have not been in a hurry.......
Jason, I will give you a call soon. I have been way busy. I also got the wrap pics, thanks....

December 2007 I bought two Sumitomo ST 727 tires for 210.00 per tire from Big O. Then I bought 2 Dyna Trac's from America's Tire for 205.00 because the Big O guy went out of business and Americas Tire couldn't get the Sumitomo's. These are 255/70r/22.5.
Prior to buying these Chinese tires I tracked down the regional manager for Dyna Trac, he is in the Colorado area. He took the time to talk to me about his tires and was very educational. At the end of the conversation I asked him if he would trust his wife and babbies on the tires because that is what I would be doing and he had no problems saying yes. I am a pretty good judge of character and my Bull Shi@ flag goes up easily. As of today's date the tires ride better than the Goodyears that fell apart and the side walls are like new from sitting in the weather because I'm too lazy to cover them.
If I had to pick I think I like the Sumitomo's slightly bettter but have no real data to back it up. I picked up the tires from the places that sold them to me and took them to a truck tire place and paid 20 bucks a tire for install.
Just my .02 input on tires.

My coach goes in today and is getting Toyo M154's. I was responsible for maintaince on 9 semi's for a 10 year period and did not have good luck with the Chinese tires so I'm steering clear of them. I'm paying $235 for thr Toyo's and feel like that is a fair price. Wayne Millers Mobile tires in Santee (619)596-2800 and ask for Wayne.

I took it to him beacuse he is having the wheels repolished while they are dismounted. I never asked him if there was an extra expense to come out and do it. Tell him Steve Fishback from Glamis Dunes sent you and he will take care of you. I should clairify that the $235 is before mount, balance.........

Toyo is a GREAT tire, and so far I am very happy. I just got back from a trip and put almost 3000 miles on them. At first the coach seemed like it wandered a little bit but after about 250 miles it went away, I was thinking that maybe it was the new tires but after stopping and talking to some other people on the trip they were complaining of the same thing so I am thinking that it was the roads we were on. I would definately recomend the Toyo's and Wayne Miller also.

I have two Toyo 12r 22.5 tires that have exactly 1900 miles on them, the date code year is manufactured in 2010 (load range H). They are M111z, i paid $440 each plus tax and installation from Pete's tire service in Fullerton, I can sell them for $340 each(and no tax). I have a place in Riverside that will install them for $20 each and balance (if needed for the front) for $25 each.
The story is that i Had 11 year old tires on my coach and one of the front tires blew----this is not a good experience. Any ways i put two new ones on the front of my coach and went to Idaho dunes and back, this is the only mileage put on these tires, A Friend of mine was changing his 3.5 year old tires out so i bought all six of them from him and put them on my coach, leaving me with the newer ones for some future time/motorhome
PM if interested, I'm in Orange County
