This weekend my dad will be running the A990 - 65 Hemi Coronet at the Nostalgia nationals at Speedworld. I have looked around on line and cant find any rules in regard to them allowing passengers. It should run somewhere in the high 10s or into the 11s. I still have not ridden in this car and what a heck of a first ride it would be if allowed.

it typically depends on the track. best bet i would think is to talk to the track director.

It really depends on the track. My Buick was running 10's and the track owner told me I could make an 1/8 mile pass with a passenger.

This reminds me a funny story from way back in the day, my buddy wanted to ride in my other buddies car at the track but not alowed so he hid in the back seat under a blanket and after the launch you could see his head pop up,

It was the funniest crap you ever seen.
I am going to try to go watch this sunday, maybe will see you out.

at Famoso (local track to me) when the test and tune nights are running passengers are ok, as long as the passenger seat is fully equiped for the speed/time setup of the car. So same helmet, seat restraints, fire suit, etc.. that is required for that speed/time class.
but as said it would be best to call the track and ask

Finally had a chance to call today and you guys are correct. 13.99 or faster. Up to Bernie the track manager for a half pass. I will throw the helmet in my car but really dont want to take his fun away by a lame half track pass. Should be fun to see the old stuff out there this weekend.
