A question for the experts; what is the best hitch to tow a Weekend Warrior FSC3200 bumper tow trailer with? I had an FSC3200 before with a Hensley Arrow hitch and really liked how it virtually eliminated trailer sway. Is there a similar hitch or another hitch that is better to tow with? These are long, heavy trailers and I think they probably weight about 14000 pounds loaded. I want to try to reduce the trailer sway as much as possible and reduce the "white knuckle" factor. I installed a Putnam XDR hitch on the back of my F250 but am wondering if the $2500 price for the Hensley Arrow is really worth it. Thanks for your thoughts. No Bad Days. 1cheff.gif

I tow an fs 30 loaded, rail and 3 quads. Two quads under the rail. Changed the axles to 6000. lbs and tires to Michlens 235/85-16. I'm using the Rese duel cam with a friction sway bar and it tows great, can't feel if a big truck passes you. I tow with a 2002 F250 I due notice the weight going over the passes. ( the grape vine, 80 Donner pass ) 55 to 50 at best. Never had any experience with the Hensley Arrow Hitch.

the only thing better than a hensley tag hitch, is a fifth wheel hitch. since you want to go the tag route, go with the hensley. best there is. you had one before, why question it. go with it again.

Reese Tow beast with dual cam sway control.

1700 pound tongue weight with the bars on. It's a 2.5" receiver and it's truly a beast.
I got one after my Putnam bent and bent my truck frame.

More pic's of this hitch and my bent frame here:

Thanks Mike! Do you know who has the best price on this hitch in So Cal and do you think it is better than a Hensley Arrow hitch? How much is this Reese Tow Beast. I thought Putnam XDR was the strongest hitch made.

The only thing I question is the $3K price!! scared.gif hahahaha! I am trying to find a used Hensley, but; like a good woman, they are hard to find. wife.gif

It's best to search for the best price them call them. I wanna say in the $600 range but I am probably way off. Either way it's tons cheaper than the hensley.

I know k5james has the hensley. It's been a while since I have seen it but I was impressed and it did look beefier than mine.

I thought the same about the Putnam.

I towed my buddies trailer with his Hensley and it seemed weird. Like you had no control over the trailer, even though you didn't feel the sway in the tow vehicle the trailer still swayed. I like the good old fashion weigh distribution set up.

that hensley hitch is the sh** for towin them big bitch trailers. i checked out k5james' when he picked up his and was impressed. i know a few people that run the Equa-lizer brand WD hitches, not sure how well they work on the big dog trailers tho..

I have a FSC3200 as well. I am using the Eaz-Lift Pro Star Elite 1400 equilizing hitch and dual Eaz-lift friction sway controls. This set-up is rated to 14,000lbs. Have been using it for 5 years and have not had a single issue. I highly recommend it. Paid $325 for the complete set up.

We have one of the trunnion/cam hitches and it works great.
