Anyone know of a good shop that does this in the Corona/Norco area or a reasonable distance.

Quite simply I have a nice Powermaster alt that lasted 3+ years. And for the price of a Pep Boys Alt I could have this one rebuilt to better then it was specs. Besides everyone I know that has run a chain store alt has not made it through a weekend.

I have used M&M Generator in San Bernardino several times with great results. They are on Mt. Vernon and Rialto Ave.
It looks like a hole in the wall, (border fence) but they know what they are doing.

There used to be a shop in Victorville that did great work on rebuilds and upgrades. I think it was called The Mech Man but am not sure if he is still around. I spoke to the owner on several occasions and he was more than willing to spend the time with me to answer all my questions.

Chris @ DanZio has a guy they use for their Class-1 that rebuilds Alternators. We just used him for ours and he did a great job.

I ended up taking my alt to them on Saturday. I droppped if off at 10:30 and the owner (very friendly guy) told me it would be ready at 1:00. I came back a little after 1:00 and she was as good as new with a one year warrenty for 85 bucks.

Iknow it's another state over, but Tucson Alternator Exchange (or Service, don't remember this second) is a good place. I've had my Suburban done there, and my 69 Corvette. Both worked great. I still have the Corvette, Suburban got traded in.
