How much do you think a decent shape 89 250r would go for???? Is there a difference in price if its off season as compared to riding season ??????? Thanks for any comments or opinions......

Anywhere from $3500-$5000 depending on condition and time of year. It is best to sell things right before the season, like October.

yes price can and will vary on the time of year. during season people wont want to try to wheel and deal as much cuz they want a bike to go riding with and they need it now. on an off season time youll get the ones tryin to shop for a good deal and they will try to talk you down on the price more than during the season.
yeah a basic one, mostly stock except a few motor mods should run you about $3200 to $3500 and the more mods the more money.
good luck

Are 88 and 89's considered more desireable that say 86 or 87's. Since they come with a different linkage for the swing arm/rear shock, aluminum swing arm, different gearing, last year made, etc?

The '88's & '89's are lighter and have a different cylinder than the '86's & '87's. There are a couple of other differences as well.
Stock, they are much faster than the pre '88's.

Ya - but 3500$ in Canada is like 2000$here, so that is about right. I could have bought a clapped out one for 1500$in the last few weeks but It needed alot of work. APB
