Sat. me and a group of friends rode from viejas to the devils punchbowl below ramona and julian. their is some beautiful country here in san diego, I'll let the pictures do all the talking. the trail ride was great, it included 4 major river crossings ranging from 1-3 feet deep and about 20ft wide on average. if you've never been to cedar creek falls, go because it is a beautiful place!

the trail to get there is all reservation land and off limits unless you are indian. we went with a friend of mine who is indian thats how its okay for us to go. they do not take kindly to trespassers. you can legally hike down to the devils punch bowl from julian or from san diego estates in ramona. there is a dirt road from ramona thats on national forest that makes it within 4 miles of the punchbowl.

no hogs. no turkeys. it was real windy sat. so most animals were bedded down.
on our way out another guy i know had driven in with a friend in his truck to go shooting and he shot a 4ft southwestern diamondback for supper.

You guys were right out behind my house. The punchbowl is about a 45 minute hike from my place, very cool for sure, and way cool this time of year!
