you ar ethinking of getting her a trx450 to? has she riden a quad before? if she has how did she do, the trx is kick start so it might not be the ideal quad for her, maybe one of the triplets or a 400ex

I'm going to second the suzuki/kawasaki 400 suggestion. If you think she's going to pick up quads fast (and she should if she ripped through an xr100), this is a great bike. Elec start, reverse, and a light, easy to steer front end. It has plenty of power but it's not hard hitting. Just put on a set of paddle tires, and she can go anywhere she wants. Another option is the predator 500..tres chick handles that little hot rod just fine..

Thats funny, I had a girlfriend last year that was 5'4", 118lbs and used to ride an xr100, is she blonde also, tatoo on her, uh, lower back?
Moved her to a KX100, then to a 400ex.
After riding a TRX250ex, 300ex, 400ex, 440ex, raptor, blaster, banshee, Yam 450 and the Honda 450, I really like the new bikes (yam or honda 450.) I would recomend the Yam450 over the Honda, just for the electric start. Power and suspension on the new quads make duning less work and more fun.
my opinion only...

Too bad the trx450r is a kick start, but the trx is comfortable and has lots of torque, i have read that the yfz450 is not as comfortable buts its electric, the trx is at 40 ponys and the yfz is at 41 ponys

They get those numbers modded, but stock the Honda is 37, and the Yamaha is 38.3, but that power comes at a high RPM, the torque on 4strokers is what gets you going.

For her I would recommend the suzuki or kawasaki 400, just depends on what color you like, they are the same bike, its an easy quad to ride, elec start, reverse, very comfy, my buddies wife is small and she loves it, but it is strong enough to pull him around when he wants to take a break from his buggy, and he is not a small guy. good luck.

I'd think any of the 400s would be an okay choice. My wife has a 400EX w/filter, muffler, and engine build, it scoots her around well, I even have fun playing with it now and then.

If you think she's really gonna want to try and lead the pack, then go to a 450, the Raptor is on a level with the 400s IMHO, not much more power but heavier and with a higher center of gravity. Not a small person's ride at all.

naw she aint gonna lead the pack,i just wanna get something where if a few years she wont be tired of it and i dont have to put tons of money in up grades for her to be happy.just a exhuast and thats it,yea prob little more power then she needs but when she needs it,it will be there but yet she can still just cruise around

The 400EX will do okay on power stock, add a filter and muffler and she'll have no problems keeping up.

Bought my wife the Yam450 and she loves it. She used to ride a banshee. And the 450 is much easier for her. She has tons of fun in the dunes. Killer times. I would go with the Yam just cause of the the electric start.

Shovel - she's 5'4" and 118 lb. The Raptor may ride okay for bigger guys like us, but I think they are a bit heavy and sit a bit high for a smaller person...
